| Video Discription | FAQ: we trekked MARCH 20-31, 2023. Hiking Everest Base Camp with my husband and in-laws was both incredible & challenging. The trek was a bit tougher than I imagined, but not impossible. I wanted to share a realistic portrayal, so even though I have a few cringe moments in this video, I wanted to be sure to communicate my honest experience hiking EBC. We experienced freezing temperatures, slush and snow, as well as witnessed the most beautiful sunrise of our lives. Altitude sickness is also not a joke, so trek safely, slowly, and be sure to get travel insurance! We came home full of memories from our time in Nepal. Our trekking guide Karan and our porters, Harka & Rajan, all local to Nepal, made our experience & we cannot imagine a better trip without them. We are forever grateful for them to share their beautiful country with us and be such positive lights in this world. Nepal is full of breathtaking mountain ranges, and I would perhaps recommend taking the paths less traveled. Everest Base Camp is a bucket list trek for sure, but there are many other options in Nepal too, so I encourage you to hire a local trekking company & check those out as well.
