I really want to like this device. in theory it would be a game changer. One big issue i have with it is when using custom scales you can only use inches so you have to convert every measurement to feet. also I find it to be less accurate than I had expected. I thought the little magnifying glass would make it more accurate but it doesn't, the pointer on the mag glass is super thick for that to be beneficial it would need to be like a wire. I often set a total measurement for custom scale and find when adding all the points between together I do not end up with that total measurement. again I really do want to like this device but I get closer results using a tape measure and doing the math to find the scale of whatever is printed then using that scale and the tape measure.

The accuracy appears to be good but the indexing of the default cursor needs to be more definitive. Something similar to the hair-line cursor of a slide rule would improve it substantially. The magnifier cursor resolves this problem. I also found that adding one SMALL drop of a liquid Teflon lubricant to the slides in the main body improved the functionality of the device quite a bit.

I work in the building industry. Although I can print drawings they are not normally on the paper size they were original meant to printed on. This means getting useful measurements from them is quite a challenge.
The NeoRuler has been a great time saver as I can now easily get measurement. As long as the drawing has a given measurement that you can use as a reference you can set this to scale appropriate to the drawing you have. Once you get used to it it takes seconds to set up and has become invaluable. If you need to check measurements then get this. I have recommended to all who have seen it in use and although a little pricey when you have one it pays for itself.
