This is a box of 100 pieces. This is what the box looks like. When you get it, it's full of brass key tags like this. I've got one cut out here so we can review it. Key tag diameter is 1". The hole in there is 1/4" and 40/1000" thick. It's almost as thick as a typical kick plate on a door, and it's heavy. One box weighs 9/10 lb. so it's a lot of brass in there. 1" diameter they've got it at, appears to be correct. The diameter of that hole is indeed 1/4" and a brass key tag like this is gonna be intended for installations where you need and desire a very long-lasting, durable way to identify a key. Brass key tag vs. a paper key tag. This would be done with a die set, where you would take a die set and a hammer and stamp your key identification onto the brass tag. Installations that use this commonly are universities where they routinely, the lock shop at a university needs to store lots of different keys and identify what doors they go to, and those doors don't change.
