I would suggest going for high contrast between the marker and the surface. The lighter colors like the yellow had a little trouble popping off of a surface that was also light. The markers had a nice smooth interaction with the wall, and even the untreated wood surfaces did not hold back the flow of a tag. The versatility of these markers was definitely clear with the under water test. Although it might take some additional time to dry, the paint applied smoothly and I didn't find any major differences with the performance on plastic above water. The price point of the K-80 is on the high side for a solid paint stick, but for USA made and a Krink product you can be ensured that they will work amazing as seen.
