KEAM 2023 is an entrance exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala for admission to various engineering and architecture courses in colleges across Kerala. The exam consists of two papers - Paper I: Physics and Chemistry, and Paper II: Mathematics.
The Chemistry and Physics paper in KEAM 2023 will consist of 120 questions each, with a total duration of 150 minutes. The questions will be based on the syllabus of the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination.
The Chemistry paper will cover topics such as Basic concepts in Chemistry, States of matter, Atomic structure, Chemical bonding and molecular structure, Solutions, Equilibrium, Redox reactions and electrochemistry, Chemical kinetics, Surface chemistry, Hydrogen, s-block elements, p-block elements, d and f-block elements, Coordination compounds, Basic principles, purification and characterization of organic compounds, Hydrocarbons, Organic compounds containing halogens, Organic compounds containing oxygen, Organic compounds containing nitrogen, Polymers, Biomolecules, Chemistry in everyday life.
The Physics paper will cover topics such as Physical World and Measurement, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy and Power, Motion of systems of particles and rigid body, Gravitation, Properties of bulk matter, Thermodynamics, Behaviour of perfect gas and kinetic theory, Oscillations and waves, Electrostatics, Current electricity, Magnetic effects of current and magnetism, Electromagnetic induction and alternating currents, Electromagnetic waves, Optics, Dual nature of matter and radiation, Atoms and nuclei, Electronic devices.
Candidates appearing for KEAM 2023 should thoroughly prepare and practice all the topics mentioned above to score well in the exam. |
